CO2 (in our plates; dans nos assiettes)

More than half of the greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) produced in France is emitted by households; a significant proportion of these emissions are attributable to food. The impact of different products on GHG depends on the method of cultivation of agricultural products, the geographical origin of the product and the amount of packaging, amongst other factors. Demain nous discutons des risques associâtes avec la déplétion des banques des graines et qui sont des acteurs des banques de semences végétales et leurs responsabilités. The Holocene extinction period (the period since the emergence of humans) has caused a loss of genetic diversity. You can halt the reduction in biodiversity, in particular the destruction of plant and animal habitat. We will discuss this and other issues in tomorrow’s class. See you then, Kind regards, Linda
